What are the import list settings?

Check what settings you can set on the Import list settings page.

In each of your import lists, you will find an Import list settings tab where you can set different update upload options that would apply to the whole import list.

  1. Go to the Retailer Center at the top right section of the page by clicking on your initials

  2. Go to the Import List menu on the left side of the page

  3. Open the import list you wish to manage

  4. Click on the Import list settings tab

Please note, that these settings depend on the e-commerce platform you have and may be different from one another. Some might not be available for the platform you have your store on.

Settings section

In this section you have different setting options based on the platform you have the store on.

  • Import new products

    • Here you can give permission to the import list to upload any new products or to just update your already uploaded products

  • Publish products

    • This allows you to set if you wish to upload the products in visible status

  • Which fields would you like to update automatically?

    • Here you can set the fields/product details you wish to be updated automatically during the import list sync.

    • By default, the Price, Inventory quantity are updated but for many platforms, the Cost per item and Published field can also be set for automatic updates

  • What should Syncee do with the products that are not available?

    • If a product is not available at the supplier's end, you can manage it in different ways

      • Hide the product -> It will remain in your store hidden, your customers will not see it but will still count as a managed product

      • Set the quantity to 0 -> It will be visible in your store for your customers as out of stock product

      • Delete -> It will be deleted automatically from your store during the import list sync

  • What should Syncee do with the products that have a quantity of 0?

    • If a product gets out of stock at the supplier's end, you have the following options

      • Hide the product -> It will remain in the store but will not be visible to your customers until it is in stock again

      • Set the quantity to 0 -> It will be visible in your store for your customers as out of stock product until it is in stock again

  • Email notification about updates

    • Here you can set what the catalog should do when the update is finished

      • Don't send email when task is done

      • Send email when task is done

      • Send email and report when task is done

Update settings

  • What should Syncee do with the variants that are not available?

    • Here you can set how you wish to manage a product variation that is no longer available at the supplier's end

      • Set the quantity to 0 -> The variant will be visible in your store for your customers as out of stock

      • Delete these variants -> The variations will be deleted from your store

  • What should Syncee do with the variants/products that have a quantity of 0?

    • If a variation or a product is out of stock at the supplier's end, when you wish to upload them, you can set them as follows:

      • Upload with 0 quantity -> They will be uploaded to your store and will be visible to your customers as out-of-stock products/variations until they are in stock again

      • Do not upload -> Syncee will not upload these products/variations to your store until they are in stock again

General Settings

  • Charge taxes on these products

    • If it is enabled, it means that in your store, tax will be added to the products' prices based on your store settings at checkout

    • If this setting is disabled, the tax will not be added to the prices at checkout

  • Backorder

    • If you enable this option and the suppliers you work with have backorder enabled as well, your customers will be able to place orders for out-of-stock products as well and you will be able to forward them to the suppliers

  • Weight unit

    • Here you can set the weight unit that you want to use in your store. If you set the weight unit to grams (g) and the product's weight is in kilograms (kg) we will convert the weight when we upload the products to your store.

  • Point of Sale visibility

    • You can set here for the products to be published to Point of Sale or only to the online store
